Join us for a special guided visit to one of Milan’s most elegant and inspiring museums: Gallerie d’Italia. Located on Piazza della Scala, right in the heart of the city, the museum occupies three beautifully restored historic buildings that once housed prestigious Milanese institutions. Since its opening in 2012, it has become a cultural landmark, showcasing the extraordinary art collections of Intesa Sanpaolo and Fondazione Cariplo in a setting that seamlessly blends history, architecture, and artistic excellence.

Our tour begins in Palazzo Anguissola Antona Traversi, a neoclassical jewel once described as the most beautiful private residence in Milan. Inside, Antonio Canova’s mythological bas-reliefs and Francesco Hayez’s romantic paintings set the tone for the 19th century, alongside evocative views of Milan and its Navigli canals.

We then continue to Palazzo Brentani, where luminous landscapes and innovative Divisionist and Symbolist works by Previati, Morbelli, and Boccioni mark the transition to the modern era.

The visit concludes in Palazzo Beltrami, the former headquarters of Banca Commerciale Italiana, now home to post-war and contemporary art. Here, works by Burri and Fontana reflect the creative energy and experimentation of Italy’s artistic rebirth in the mid-20th century.
