Sobre o evento
Join us for a captivating guided tour of the Edvard Munch exhibition at Palazzo Reale.
This remarkable exhibit commemorates the 80th anniversary of Munch’s death, presenting over 100 works, including paintings, drawings, and prints from the prestigious Munch Museum in Oslo.
Titled "Munch. The Inner Scream", the exhibition explores the life and art of one of the most iconic figures in modern art history. From 1880 until his death in 1944, Munch's work delves deep into existential themes, reflecting the turmoil and emotional depths of the human experience. A highlight of the show is the lithographic version of "The Scream", one of the most famous and powerful images ever created, expressing Munch's own inner torment and existential dread.
As we explore his masterpieces, such as "Girls on the Bridge" and "Melancholy", you’ll discover the artist’s unique vision, shaped by personal tragedy, illness, and a lifetime of introspection. Munch’s work is characterized by bold colors, surreal landscapes, and distorted human figures, giving voice to the deep anguish and raw emotions that transcend time, still resonating with viewers today.
