Sobre o evento

After years of anticipation, Palazzo Citterio has finally opened to guided tours, marking a major milestone in the Grande Brera project. This elegant 18th-century palace now hosts the Jesi and Vitali collections, creating a bridge between the classical masterpieces of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the great movements of 20th-century art.

Our guided visit will lead us through rooms dedicated to Italian Novecento and the European avant-garde. We will encounter Pellizza da Volpedo’s monumental Fiumana, metaphysical works by De Chirico and Carrà, the delicate still lifes of Morandi, and Futurist icons such as Boccioni and Severini. Alongside them, works by Braque and Picasso testify to the Parisian birth of Cubism, while Modigliani’s haunting portraits add a deeply personal and modern note.

The itinerary also allows us to glimpse into the lesser-known but fascinating treasures of the Vitali collection, including ancient mosaics and rare Roman-Egyptian portraits. Finally, we will step outside into the palace’s secluded garden, a peaceful retreat in the very center of Milan, perfect to end this cultural journey.

A long-awaited opportunity to experience one of Milan’s most exciting new museums in depth. Duration: 90 minutes
