From his humble beginnings as an icon painter in Greece to his exposure to Venetian masters in Venice, El Greco's unique blend of Byzantine elegance, Italian Mannerist drama, and Venetian colorism reshaped European art with expressive intensity.
The exhibition presents a rich selection of El Greco's masterpieces, providing an encompassing journey through his entire career, from his flourishing workshop in Rome to the vibrant cultural landscape of Toledo in late 16th-century Spain.
