Niki di Saint Phalle - ASM exclusive

The upcoming tour will take you to the first comprehensive retrospective of Niki de Saint Phalle in Italy, curated by Lucia Pesapane in collaboration with the Niki Charitable Art Foundation. Known for her bold and colorful "Nanas," the exhibition goes beyond her playful creations to reveal the deeper, more engaged side of her art. Divided into eight sections, it traces her journey from her early works to her later pieces, exploring how she used art to confront personal struggles, break boundaries, and ultimately leave a lasting mark on the art world.

The exhibition features 110 works, including monumental sculptures, experimental films, and a selection of Dior dresses that recall her time as a model, blending fashion with her vibrant, “pop” vision of art. Niki de Saint Phalle’s work celebrates femininity, resilience, and creative defiance, offering a deeply personal reflection on the themes of identity and social change during a transformative era.
