ABOUT THE TOUR: Step into Renaissance Milan and begin this experience with an exceptional privilege: a private 15-minute viewing of Leonardo’s extraordinary Last Supper.
In the quiet of the former refectory, we’ll explore the story behind this iconic masterpiece — perhaps the most reproduced image in the world — its innovations, its mysteries, and the refined courtly world of 15th-century Sforza Milan that enabled its creation.
From there, we step out into the city and follow in the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci, bringing vividly to life Milan’s most brilliant “foreign” guest.
We stroll through the streets of the city that Leonardo “the Florentine” made his own, where he worked for more than twenty years. Milan was the place he helped transform — and, in turn, a city that allowed him to flourish. Here, his boundless curiosity found fertile ground to explore nature, engineering, hydraulics, anatomy, theatre, and of course, art. Along the way, we’ll encounter traces of Leonardo’s Milan and the vibrant cultural scene that welcomed him.
The tour concludes at the Sforza Castle, the powerful seat of the Sforza dynasty and one of the key places where Leonardo served as artist, engineer, and creator. Here we reconnect with the atmosphere of the court that inspired some of his most visionary ideas.
An ideal experience for anyone who wishes to meet Leonardo not only as a painter, but as a thinker, inventor, and storyteller deeply rooted in the life of Milan.
